Managing operators and staff
Add your staff members, assign services, hours and permissions, and show them on your public page.
Managing operators and staff
"Operators" are your staff members: hairdressers, beauticians, waiters, anyone who works at your location. In Puntify you register them for two reasons: to have them appear on your public page (the profile customers see online) and to link them to services and hours, so bookings can be assigned to the right person. You'll find everything on your shop's "Operators" page, at /merchant/shop/<id>/operators.
Where to find operators
- From the location home, open the "Operators" section.
- You see the list of people already added, with their name, role and assigned services.
- At the top there's a search bar to filter by name or role, handy when your staff is large.
Adding an operator
- Tap the "New operator" button.
- Fill in the "Name *" field (required, it's the name customers see, e.g. Maria, Luca).
- If you like, fill in "Role" (optional, e.g. Hairdresser, Beautician): it's the specialty shown next to the name.
- Add a "Profile photo" (optional): you can paste an image address or upload a file from your device.
- Turn on the "Show on public page" switch if you want the operator to appear in the "Our staff" section of your public profile.
- Tap "Create operator": the confirmation "Operator created!" appears and you return to the list.
The operator's four tabs
When you select an operator from the list, four tabs open at the top, so you can organize all their information:
- Details: name, role, photo and public visibility (the same fields as when creating).
- Services: which of the shop's services this person can perform.
- Availability: the hours when the operator can be booked.
- Access: the permissions tied to the operator.
Editing or deleting an operator
- Tap the operator in the list: the form opens pre-filled and the button becomes "Save changes".
- To remove them, use the delete icon on their row.
- A confirmation appears: "You are about to delete \"{name}\". This action cannot be undone." Choose "Delete" to proceed: you'll see the message "Operator removed!".
Common questions
Are the photo and role required? No: the only required field is the "Name". Role and photo are optional. What if I don't turn on "Show on public page"? The operator stays useful internally (for services, hours and bookings) but doesn't appear in the public profile customers see. Does deleting an operator erase their history? The operator is deactivated and disappears from the lists; the action can't be undone, so only confirm if you're sure.
