Credentials and integrations

"Credentials" are the keys that connect Puntify to external services. They're needed above all for two features: Nemi (the AI assistant) and Social Studio (social content). You manage them on the "Credentials" page, at /merchant/credentials. As the empty screen says, they're there to "turn on Nemi and Social Studio".

Two types of credential

1. AI provider (the "Type" field = "AI provider"): an API key from an artificial intelligence service. The available providers are "Anthropic", "OpenAI" and "Google Gemini". You generate the key on the provider's website (e.g. console.anthropic.com for Anthropic) and paste it into Puntify.
2. OAuth: a connection to social platforms (Google Business, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads) that you authorize directly on their website, without pasting keys.

Adding an AI key

1. On the "Credentials" page tap "Create credential".
2. Under "Type" choose "AI provider" and under "Provider" select Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini.
3. If you like, give it a "Credential name" (otherwise Puntify suggests one).
4. Paste the key into the "API key" field (follow the help: e.g. "Anthropic API key. Generate it at console.anthropic.com.").
5. Tap "Save": "Credential saved" appears.

The key is protected: Puntify states "Encrypted AES-GCM at rest, never shown after saving". This means it's stored in encrypted form and is no longer visible after saving. If you edit it in the future, the field shows "•••••••••• (leave blank to keep unchanged)": only enter a new key if you want to replace it.

Social connections (OAuth)

For the OAuth type, Puntify currently notes that "The OAuth connection requires an external flow with the provider (Meta App Review, Google Cloud Console, etc.)". At the moment the button is "Connect (coming soon)" and it's disabled for most platforms: automatic connection is coming later (Google Business Profile is the exception, connectable from the Social Studio settings).

Managing and searching credentials

In the list, each credential shows the provider's logo, the name and the type (e.g. "AI provider · Anthropic"). The "Search by type, provider or model…" bar filters the list. Tapping a credential opens it: you can rename it, update the key (for AI providers) or use "Delete". You cannot, however, change its type and provider after creation.

Common questions

Why do I need an AI key? Without an "AI provider" credential neither Nemi nor text/image generation in Social Studio work. Where do I find the key? On the website of the provider you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google): the Puntify screen shows the exact address. Is my key safe? Yes: it's encrypted and no longer visible after saving. Can I already connect Instagram or Facebook? Automatic OAuth connection is "coming soon"; for now it's disabled (except for Google Business Profile).
