Adding products, sizes and VAT rates to the menu

Products with multiple sizes

Many products are sold in more than one size: small/medium/large beer, regular/maxi pizza, single/double coffee. With Puntify you add sizes to a single product, each with its own price, without duplicating the item in the menu.

Step 1 — Open the product

In the Menu section select the product and open the edit screen. Here you'll find the name, description, base price and photo.

Step 2 — Add the sizes

• Create a size for each variant (e.g. "Small", "Medium", "Large").
• Assign each one its own price.
• The customer will choose the size when ordering.

Step 3 — Set the VAT rate

Each product has its own VAT rate: depending on your country, for example, takeaway and dine-in may have different rates, as may certain food items. Set the correct rate on the product: it will be used at the POS, in orders and in tax reporting.

Step 4 — Tags and allergens

You can add tags (vegetarian, spicy, gluten-free…) to help customers choose and to filter dishes. It's also useful for those with specific dietary needs.

Tip

Define sizes and VAT properly from the start: that way your POS and receipts will always be correct and you won't have to rework the figures.
